Dr. Raymond Fritz Jr. of Allentown Family Foot Care, South Whitehall Township, recently addressed a major employer concern – the issue of foot problems in the workplace – at the HealthWorks Safety Peer Group meeting held at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network's Muhlenberg Education Conference Center.

An affiliation of individuals from local businesses and industries who are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for their workforces, the HealthWorks SPG meets at quarterly breakfast sessions during which participants explore safety and environmental issues, work together to develop solutions to common problems, keep up-to date on federal regulations and share program information that helps improve workplace safety and health.

In developing and delivering programs relevant to area businesses, HealthWorks focuses on injury and illness prevention education that will have a positive impact on worker protection, as well as help promote safety and health management systems.
