Car hits concrete median barrier

Michael Ebert, 25, of Freemansburg, was driving a Ford Contour westbound in the right lane of I-78, South Whitehall Township, at 10:54 a.m. Jan. 4 when the car went across all three lanes of travel and hit the center median concrete barrier, state Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

The car went back across all three lanes in a backward direction; went off the roadway and came to a final rest on the right side of I-78 westbound facing southbound, police say.

According to police, there were no injuries reported.

The car sustained disabling damage to the front and was removed by Faust Towing.

Ebert was cited for a traffic violation.

Man charged with disorderly conduct

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Mumtaz Qureshi, 60, of Jersey City, N.J. was charged with disorderly conduct 3:40 p.m. Jan. 7 after he was allegedly observed urinating on I-78, Upper Macungie Township.

Charges were filed before District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.

Coins stolen

in N. Whitehall Twp.

Michael Neetz reported to police approximately $10 in coins were stolen between 6 p.m. Jan. 6 and 1 p.m. the next day from both his unlocked vehicles in front of his home in the 4600 block of Debbie Lane, North Whitehall Township, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

Hand tools stolen

According to a police report received Jan. 10, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Bruce Michael Buttler reported a large bag of handtools was stolen from inside a truck while it was parked in the front driveway at 4466 Shankweiler Road, North Whitehall Township, sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 19, 2012 and 1 p.m. the next day.

Lawn chairs,

mower stolen

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say a Christmas wreath, lawn chairs and a lawn mower were stolen between noon on Dec. 19, 2012 and 9 a.m. Dec. 21, 2012, from a open garage at a home in the 2200 block of Donovan Court, North Whitehall Township.

Debit card used

without approval

According to a police report received Jan. 10, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say a 45-year-old man from the 4100 block of Sands Spring Road, North Whitehall Township reported $260 worth of items from were purchased between Dec. 8 and 9, 2012, using his debit card without his permission.

Police say the man saw the fradualent activity while reviewing his online bank transactions.
