Kempton Jambalaya: The Honey Island Swamp Band, above, plays Jambalaya Music Fest, 9:30 p.m. July 6; 6 p.m. July 7, Kempton Community and Recreation Center, Kempton, Berks County, as part of a tour for its fourth and latest album, ''Cane Sugar,'' with concerts in Taos, N.M.; Telluride, Vail and Denver, Col.; San Francisco, Nashville, Chicago and at the legendary Tipitina's, New Orleans. The three-day Jambalaya Fest, July 5 - 7, includes Americana, blues, cajun, funk, R&B, rock, soul and zydeco by, among others, the Alternators, Corey Ledet & his Zydeco Band, The Magnolia Sisters, The Iguanas, Jude Taylor & His Burning Flames, Dikki Du & His Zydeco Krewe, T-Broussard & the Zydeco Steppers and Mo Mojo. There's cajun-zydeco dance lessons by Fran Berbette, food, and arts and crafts. Camp sites are available. Information: jambalayamusicfest.org

Dr. Seuss Musical: "Seussical," above, continues through July 27, Studio Theatre, Trexler Pavilion and Dance, Muhlenberg College, 2400 Chew St., Allentown, as part of the 33rd season of Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre. With "Seussical," the Dr. Seuss musical, Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty bring to life an assortment of Dr. Seuss characters, including Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie and Jojo. The cast includes, above, James Patefield (Horton), Lana Gallo (Jojo) and Luke Taylor (The Cat in the Hat). The one hour-and-15-minute Young Audiences edition of "Seussical" is directed by Benjy Shaw, with musical direction by David Dabbon and choreography by Nina Pongratz.
