In the mood: Let Lynnie Godfrey put you in the mood for the holidays and for the Great American Songbook, with "Celebrating The Holidays With Lynnie Godfrey," 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19, Rodale Community Room, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. For the "Jazz Upstairs" concert, Godfrey will mix it up with "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow," "Fever," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "In The Wee Small Hours" and more. Godfrey released two CDs this year: "Lynnie Godfrey: Doing It Her Way" and "Spending The Holidays With Lynnie Godfrey," above. Ice, ice, baby: The stage at the State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, will be transformed into an ice skating rink utilizing state-of-the-art synthetic ice for "The Holiday Ice Spectacular," 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. The original production, above, combines the beauty, excitement and athleticism of figure skating with a humorous holiday storyline narrated by Santa's elves. The show is created, produced and directed by international theater producer, Jeb K. Rand, whose entertainment career began as a professional figure skater. "I am thrilled to be producing the show for a sixth season," says Rand, adding, "Think of the show as a 'snow globe come to life.'" Musical "Princess": Sing For America, a Lehigh Valley theater production company and vocal group made up of five siblings, presents "A Little Princess: The Musical," 7 p.m. Dec. 17 - 20 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 20, 21, Scottish Rite Cathedral, 1533 Hamilton St., Allentown. The cast includes, above, from left: Madison Cerniglia (Sara Crewe); Allie Santos (Aljana) and Cassie Torcivia (Lottie). The Easton area based Gilbert siblings, Taryn, Taisa, Teara, Jewel and Jorne, who range in age from 16- to 23-years-old, founded Sing For America in 2004 to produce musicals that benefit the families of local military. "A Little Princess" also benefits the Scottish Rite Cathedral's support of the Children's Dyslexia Center of Allentown.
