Board readies for 2017
Residents and audience members at the Upper Macungie supervisors’ meeting got a two-for-one deal Jan. 3: the reorganization and regular meetings were on the same night.
James Brunell will serve as chairman and Sean Gill will be vice chairman for the upcoming year.
Ashley Godshall was named township secretary and Bruce Koller will be treasurer.
Roadmasters will be the board of supervisors
Andrew Schantz Esq. and Davison and McCarthy, P.C. will be legal counsel. The township’s labor legal counsel will be Thomas Heimbach Esq. and Flamm, Walton, Heimbach and Lamm, P.C.
Keystone Consulting Engineers will serve as the township engineer.
Zoning officer appointee is Kyle Kuester of Keystone Consulting Engineers.
Building inspection agencies are Base Engineering, Inc. (primary), Codemaster Services Inc. and Keycodes Inspection Agency.
Maillie LLP was chosen as auditor and the Sanctuary at Haafsville will handle animal control.
Vacancy Board member is Christopher Englebert. Building Code Board of Appeals member will be K. Lucy Paretti and Impact Fee Committee members will be John Landis and David Reimert.
Planning commission members appointed were Paul McNemar and P. Sunny Ghai.
Zoning hearing board members Donald Peters and alternate Todd Greenawalt were also installed.
Recreation Board members David Kentner and Andrea Russell were appointed, also.
Employees will have 11 paid holidays in 2017.
Supervisors’ meetings will continue to be 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Special meetings are scheduled with supervisors and the presidents and chiefs of fire companies on April 10, July 10 and Oct. 9.
The zoning hearing board will meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month except on Nov. 22 and Dec. 27.
Planning commission will meet 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month with a work session on the Monday prior to the meeting.
Recreation Board meets 7 p.m. on the last Thursday of the month except for December, when the board will meet Dec. 14.
