Parkland’s ‘Pippin’ nominated for 17 Freddy awards

Parkland High school’s production of “Pippin” has been nominated for Freddy awards in the following categories:

·Outstanding Performance by an Orchestra;

·Outstanding Use of Scenery;

·Outstanding Use of Costumes;

·Outstanding Performance by a Male Ensemble Member, Max Hakim as Lewis;

·Outstanding Performance by a Female Ensemble Member, Kayleigh Scott as Berthe;

·Outstanding Use of Lighting;

·Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance, Reese Diaz, Lisa Conte “Love Song”;

·Outstanding Choreography;

·Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Lisa Conte as Catherine;

·Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Alex Atiyeh as Charlemagne;

·Outstanding Chorus;

·Vic Kumma Award for Outstanding Solo Vocal Performance,Reese Diaz “Corner of the Sky”;

·Outstanding Production Number, “Magic to Do”;

·Outstanding Stage Crew in honor of Capt. Christopher Seifert;

·Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Mara Cohen as Leading Player;

·Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, Reese Diaz as Pippin; and

·Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical.
