made ’crosses in your pocket’

Marjorie S. Sinclair, 95, of Neffs, died June 9, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late Vincent R. Sinclair.

Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Kate (Schmoyer) Orner.

She was a former member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Allentown, and a special friend of Jordan UCC, South Whitehall.

Very well known for her ministry of making “crosses in your pocket,” she made thousands of these, 2,000 of which went to Liberia to a church and school sponsored by Jordan UCC.

She supplied many churches, facilities and friends with these crosses.

Some of her other hobbies included knitting dishcloths, jigsaw puzzles and word search.

She especially loved playing bingo and skipbo with neighbors as well as her niece Sandy Beahm and Sandy’s son, Travis.

Her survivors include a son Roger L. Sinclair and his wife, Cheryl, of Neffs; granddaughter Tara D. Antonis and her husband, Chris, of Bethlehem; great-grandchildren Braden and Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. June 15 at Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road, South Whitehall, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the church parlor.

A social hour at the church will follow the memorial service.

Private interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
