John E. Dreisbach, 80, of Schnecksville, died Jan. 3, 2018, in his home.

He and his wife Anita F. (Minet) Dreisbach were married 57 years.

Born Jan. 26, 1937, in Northampton, he was the son of the late John S. and Anna T. (Slokliklowitz) Dreisbach.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during a peacetime era.

The store manager of Macy’s in the Lehigh Valley Mall for 20 years, he retired in 2001.

Before that, he worked in the same capacity at the former Hess’s, Allentown, for 22 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, and the Tri-Boro Sportsmen’s Club, Northampton.

An avid Eagle’s Fan, he also enjoyed fishing the Little Lehigh River.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters Cheryl L. Angstadt and her husband, John, of Leesport, Debra Ann Dreisbach and her fiancé, Joseph Steinmetz, of Wildwood Crest, N.J.; siblings Robert of Northampton, Diane Cortazzo of Bath, Donna Allain-Dendor of DeForest, Wis.: grandchildren Eric and Lauren; great-grandson Madden; and beloved dog, Holly.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
