UPPER MACUNGIE TWP: Relay for Life team cooking pork and sauerkraut dinner

Team members of Cedar Believers Relay for Life are having a pork and sauerkraut supper fundraiser 4-7 p.m. March 3 in the social hall of Cedar Church, 3419 Broadway, Cetronia.

Proceeds from the supper will go to the American Cancer Society.

Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will be hosting Miller-Keystone bloodmobile for a blood drive 3:30-7 p.m. Feb. 27.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be having Lenten worship services in the sanctuary Feb. 28 and March 7.

They will also be offering a soup supper at 6 p.m.

All families are invited to attend with their children and youth.

Following the soup meal, all children and youth are invited to join together for a lesson relating to the worship theme, have discussion time and enjoy crafts.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church Road, Fogelsville, will have a Lenten service at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 and March 6 in the church sanctuary.

Join them for meditation through scriptures and prayers with a brief skit on the Gospel of Mark.

The Ladies Aid is accepting orders for their potato and cheddar pierogi sale March 2 and 3 with additional pick up on March 4.

Volunteers are also needed to peel potatoes.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, will be offering bingo with a book cover twist 2 p.m. on Feb. 23.

The library will be offering a Chocolate Olympics for kids in third grade and higher at 11 a.m. Feb. 24.

There will be various tabletop games, challenges and relays involving chocolate.
