2000 Parkland High School graduate

Michael D. DeLong, 35, from Hatfield, was stricken and died May 9, 2018, in his home.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of David H. DeLong III and Dianne (DiLella) DeLong of Allentown.

He would have celebrated his 36th birthday on May 11.

A Class of 2000 graduate of Parkland High School, LCCC and Kutztown University Class of 2004, he was employed by Wegmans for 20 years, most recently serving as a manager at the Warrington location.

He was an avid Lehigh Valley sports fan but his true passion was his Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Braves.

A train enthusiast from an early age, he also enjoyed the beach, attending Zac Brown Band concerts with his sister, country music, golfing and bowling.

He always cherished the time he spent with his extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Michelle D. DeLong of Allentown; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins and his “little buddy” Tucker.

Services will be noon May 19 in Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown, PA 18106.

Call 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael D. DeLong Memorial Fund c/o the funeral home.
