Fire company presents community service award

Thursday, June 28, 2018 by LOU WHEELAND Special to The Press in Local News

Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Trexlertown, awarded the Fred J. Gross Memorial Community Service Award on June 5.

This year’s recipient was Olivia Morren, a senior at Allentown Central Catholic High School.

Morren, of Upper Macungie Township, completed 60 hours of community service.

This community service coupled with a high grade-point average at Central Catholic, pushed her to the top of the list of candidates for the $500 scholarship.

Morren will attend Gettysburg College in the fall majoring in biochemistry and then she would like to attend medical school.
