Upper Macungie sponsored its annual Barktoberfest Oct. 14 at Upper Macungie Park, Route 100, Fogelsville. Dogs ruled the day as they paraded, primped and showed off their better natures to impress their humans, visitors and especially other canines at the party. Bill Pittinger and Alisha Shafer of Kunkletown brought Romo, their 11-year-old golden doodle, to manage fire protection at the event.
