Two South Whitehall residents injured in armed robbery

Two residents from the area of Pierce and Van Buren drives, South Whitehall Township, sustained non-life-threatening injuries when they were assaulted by two individuals with knives 8:47 a.m. Nov. 19.

According to South Whitehall Township police, the residents were entering their vehicle when an altercation ensued between them and the individuals carrying the knives.

The residents fled in their vehicle. The suspects, who took an undetermined amount of cash, were last seen fleeing on foot, police say.

One of the residents is being treated at a local hospital.

Police say a description of the suspects is unknown at this time and no motive has been determined.
