Unwrapped gifts were brought by guests to the open house at Luther Crest. The toys and gifts were placed around the Christmas tree and later would be given to the children served by Diakon Adoption and Foster Care.

Luther Crest chef wins gingerbread decorating contest
Luther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall, recently hosted a gingerbread cookie decorating contest and toy drive for children.
Guests were asked to bring unwrapped toys to the Dec. 12 event.
These would be given to those youngsters served by the adoption and foster care program.
After the event, choosing the best decorated gingerbread cookie was done by online voting.
Luther Crest Chef James Lantier won the gingerbread decorating contest by online vote.
Light refreshments were served to guests.
