Virginia “Ginny” Mae (Gower) Beck, 91, of Allentown, formally of Kunkletown, died peacefully April 12, 2019.

She was an operator of three restaurants in the late 1960s, and a waitress for many years in the Lehigh Valley.

A dedicated volunteer at Lehigh Valley Senior Center for many years, she belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, both in Allentown.

She worked for Rite-Aid for 23 years until retiring at age 80.

She was coordinator of picnic and entertainment activities, for which she helped raise funds for the residents of Town House Apartments, where she resided for 11 years.

Her survivors include children Kareen Bleam and her husband David, Pamella Nagle and her husband David, Randall Beck and his wife Joy, Conrad Beck and his wife Julie, and Kevin Beck and his wife Judy; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Douglas and a great-granddaughter.

Contributions in her memory may be made to The Towne House Apartments, “picnic and entertainment fund,” 1827 W. Walnut St., Allentown PA 18104.
