Bicycle stolen from park

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a bicycle and helmet belonging to a 10-year-old boy and a 70-year-old woman, both of North Whitehall Township, were taken 6:50 p.m. March 19 from Neffs Valley Park, North Whitehall.

Police say the suspect is described as a male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and driving a dark colored SUV.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call state police at 610-861-2026.

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say James J. Klement, 52, of Coplay, was charged with dangerous burning after he allegedly was seen lighting a cardboard box on fire in the woods around 1:15 p.m. April 24 at Route 145 and Second Street, North Whitehall.

Police say the fire was surrounded by dry, flammable brush and there was no safety equipment at the scene.

Charges against Klement were filed with District Judge Jake Hammond, South Whitehall.

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 16-year-old male from Center Valley reported approximately $70 was stolen from his unlocked vehicle sometime between 4:30-5 p.m. on April 11 at 3625 Shankweiler Road, North Whitehall Township.
