Janet L. LeVan
Janet L. LeVan, 82, of Slatington, died May 9, 2019, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Marlyn R. LeVan.
Born in Ashfield, she was a daughter of the late Reuben J. and Kathryn E. (Jones) Kemmerer.
A 1954 graduate of and former majorette at Slatington High School, she was a secretary for the former LeVan Trucking, Wanamakers, the former Krause Dodge Toyota, Schnecksville, and Albright’s Mill, Kempton.
She was a member of Slatington Baptist Church, Slatington.
She greatly enjoyed Wednesday Bible Study, shopping, fashion and had a love of animals.
Her survivors include her daughter, Michelle A., wife of Wilson Reppert, Lenhartsville; son, the Rev. James W. (Wendy) Levan, Slatington; sister, Betty Lou, wife of Lewis Rauch of Schnecksville; brother Robert D. (Polly) Kemmerer, Allentown; sisters-in-law Marlene J., wife of Richard Smith, Doylestown, Rose Marie Mudrick, Orefield, and Mary Ann Kemmerer, both of Orefield; grandchildren Angelique (Joel), Scarlett (Bobby), Magdalena (Shane), Storm, Luke, Aaron and Daniel; great-grandson Holden James; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Bruce A. Kemmerer.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. May 20 in Slatington Baptist Church, 509 Main St., Slatington, with a visitation period beginning 10 a.m.
Private interment in Jacob’s Cemetery, New Tripoli.
The Rev. James W. LeVan will officiate.
