S. Whitehall youth learn about law enforcement, EMS careers
South Whitehall Township’s Police Department sponsored a Summer Youth Police Academy during the week of Aug. 12-16.
The young cadets were introduced to police tactics, emergency medical service basics and fire/rescue operations.
On Aug. 14, Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. James Erme, landed a state police helicopter at the Lehigh County Sports Fields, Cetronia.
Erme introduced the youngsters to the role of the helicopter in supporting police, fire and emergency medical service in Eastern Pennsylvania.
