South Whitehall police academy has graduation ceremony

The South Whitehall Township Police Department held a graduation ceremony Aug. 16 for its Summer Youth Police Academy at the Lehigh County Sports Fields.

Twenty youth attended the ceremony though several were on vacation and unable to be at the graduation.

Parkland School District Superintendent Richard Sniscak congratulated the youth for their commitment to learning about the role of the police in public safety.

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134, and South Whitehall Board of Commissioners President Tori Morgan were also on hand to congratulate the students.
