Music will be supplied by Woodside Avenue.

Country View Farm will be on hand with a pig roast and potatoes.

Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 144 will be present with food and an encampment.

The St. John’s cooks will be offering funny cakes, shoofly pies and zucchini bread for sale.

There will also be the Anything Goes Car Show, a chili cook-off, pet photo contest, vendors and games.

The Laurys Station fire company will have a Whack-a-Car activity.

Many interesting photos and historical materials of Laurys Station and the surrounding area will be on display.

All of these opportunities can be enjoyed with no admission charge, although visitors may bring a canned good for the Jordan Lutheran food pantry.

Tickets are going fast for the gift card bingo at St. John’s UCC, 1 p.m. Sept. 29.

In addition to bingo, there will be refreshments for sale, a basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will celebrate Harvest Home at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22 worship services.

Here is a time to be thankful for God’s gifts of sun and rain and the farmers whose hard work provides our food.

This year’s Harvest Home will be in memory of the Rev. Thomas Thomas, senior pastor of Union UCC for 30 years.

In his honor, participants are invited to double their usual food donations.

Pastor Thomas, who loved to work in his garden and was known for his carefully tended compost which he used to enrich the soil, was dedicated to fighting hunger in the local community and around the world.

Food donations of produce, canned goods and grocery items will be given to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank.

On Sunday Funday, Sept. 29, guest musician Steven Courtney will entertain at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

People are invited to have a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, cotton candy and more.

Face painting and games are also on the schedule.

On Oct. 2, Union UCC will have a basket social. Doors open 5:30 p.m. The draw begins at 7 p.m.
