New Tripoli Bank promotes manager

New Tripoli Bank has announced that Sundra Bachman has been promoted to Vice President-Senior Branch Manager in charge of Branch Retail Staff.

Bachman has more than 20 years of banking experience and has been with New Tripoli Bank for 11 years.

She has served in various positions within the branch network, most recently as Manager of the Claussville Office.

Bachman is on the Board of Directors of the Emmaus Main Street Partners.

St. Luke’s School of Nursing held its 150th commencement Aug. 9 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, Allentown.

“The nursing program here at St. Luke’s is unique,” said Nursing School Director Sandra Mesics, RN. “Our curriculum is diverse and comprehensive, and our students benefit from the tremendous amount of resources we have throughout our Network. The sellers’ market continued apace in the Lehigh Valley during the summer real estate season.

According to the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR) June report, competition by buyers boosted quick sales above the asking price.

On average, a house is selling in little more than a month.

Sales of houses in the Lehigh Valley continued their percentage of decline into the second quarter of 2018 compared to the same time in 2017, just as the prime summer residential real estate sales season gets underway.

According to the May monthly report of the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR), closed sales were down a bit less: 8.5 percent with 765 houses sold in May, compared to 836 houses sold in May 2017.
