Rout of FC gets Parkland No. 2 seed

The Parkland Trojans boys basketball team finished a strong regular season with a 57-19 thrashing of Faith Christian Academy inside Muhlenberg College last Thursday night in the finale of the Lehigh Valley Stellar Summer Basketball League.

After leading 11-8, Parkland (10-1) went on a 22-2 run to finish the half and lead 33-10 at halftime. Nick Rindock led the way with nine first-half points. Eight different Trojans found the score sheet that half, and 10 Parkland players had at least one basket in the game.

The summer months have been kind to the Parkland boys basketball team. The Trojans have cruised through their summer league, winning most games by a double-digit margin.

Last Tuesday night, however, Parkland met its match. Another hot team in Allentown Central Catholic outmuscled the Trojans to give them their first loss of the summer season, 44-32 at Muhlenberg College.
