The Bach Choir of Bethlehem has announced the results of its "Bach-Appella Competition" in conjunction with the Bach Choir's presentation of The Swingle Singers in a Gala Concert-Fundraiser, 8 p.m. Oct. 6, Zoellner Arts Center.
The winning group is Emmaus High School's Fermata Nowhere, directed by Rita Cortez. The group will sing Van Morrison's "Moondance" during the second half of the Swingle Singers' concert.
Moravian College alumna Emily Cohen, '12, and student Brittany Garzillo, '13, received a College Production Award from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) during the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Awards ceremonies Sept. 22, Sheraton Society Hill, Philadelphia.
Cohen was executive producer, editor and director of photography on "Three Students, Three Expressions of Art," a 10-minute documentary produced last spring. Garzillo was the writer, reporter and producer.
Q. What causes a heart attack?
A blood clot in a narrowed coronary artery is the usual cause of a heart attack. The clogged artery prevents oxygenated blood from nourishing the heart. This can lead to pain, the death of heart cells, scar tissue and fatal arrythmias.
There is a variety of causes that lead to the narrowing of arteries, which is called atherosclerosis. This, in turn, increases the likelihood of a heart attack.
