Spanish teacher

Tammy L. Giambruno, 51, of Bethlehem, died on March 6, 2013, in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.

She and her husband Anthony Giambruno were married 27 years last September.

Born in Mt. Clemens, Mich., she was the daughter of Kenneth W. Blankenship of Friends-ville, Tenn., and Nordine J. (Lanza) Postiglione of Hellertown.

She was a Spanish teacher in Delaware and Pennsylvania for many years and taught English as a Second Language adult classes in Allentown.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Speed monitoring sign vanishes in Upper Mac

Upper Macungie Township police are investigating the theft of a digital speed monitoring sign taken from a speed limit sign between Church Street and Creek View Drive, Upper Macungie Township.

Criminal Investigator Adam Miller says the sign was taken sometime between 3:16-3:20 a.m. March 8.

The sign is white in color with a black digital face and may have a "Your Speed" reflective sign attached to the top.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Upper Macungie Township police at 484-661-5911.

Scholarship

Applications being accepted

The Allentown Music Club is offering a $1,000 Past President's Assembly scholarship to a high school senior who resides in Lehigh or Northampton counties.

The student must be accepted at an accredited institution and be pursuing music performance. Application deadline is April 10.
