Helen Jones, 85, of Breinigsville, formerly of New Tripoli, died Oct. 14, 2012, in her home.

She and her husband Theron J. Jones, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in May.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Petrow) Zana.

During her early years, she was educated in both American and Greek schools.

She was a supervisor for the former Western Electric Co., in Laureldale, during the 1950s and later a floor worker for the former Fernbrook Manufacturing Co., Neffs, for 20 years before retiring in 1987.

Vaccination clinic Oct. 20

Forgotten Felines and Fidos animal shelter, Germansville, will be having a vaccination clinic for dogs and cats 8 a.m.-noon Oct. 20 at 9645 Hamilton Blvd, Breinigsville.

There is a fee for rabies and distemper vaccinations.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.

PA 2-1-1, which connects people who need help with critical services and volunteer opportunities, is now available in the Lehigh Valley area.

PA 2-1-1 East is a free, comprehensive, information and referral program and one of seven regional 2-1-1 call centers in Pennsylvania.

The toll-free telephone number offers information and referrals for a broad range of services including basic needs, food banks, child and elder care, health services, housing, support groups and more.

Kutztown University graduate

Nancy M. Beitler, 59, of Fogelsville, died peacefully Oct. 16, 2012, with family members by her side.

She was the loving wife of Edward Beitler for 33 years last April.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Rita L. (Gallagher) Braun.

A proud graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Kutztown University, she was a longtime employee of Kutztown Publishing Co. and a customer service representative for Blue Cross Health Insurance.

faithful member of Jacob's Church

Helen S. Follweiler, 97, of Allentown, formerly of Hamburg and New Tripoli, died Oct. 10, 2012.

She was the wife of the late Elwood W. Follweiler.

Born March 31, 1915, in Lynn Township, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. Sittler and Mary R. (Gildner) Sittler.

She and her husband were farmers in Lynn Township for 33 years before retiring in 1964.

She was a past member of the Ontelaunee Lioness Club, New Tripoli, and the Kitchen Kadoodlers Band, sponsored by the Lehigh County Farmers Association.
