Edward W. Hartman Jr., 58, of Lehighton, died July 27, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born April 19, 1955, in Valley Forge, he was the son of Edward W. Hartman of Lehighton and the late Jeannette F. (Snyder) Hartman. He was the stepson of Doris (Cunfer) Hartman.
He was a truck driver for SMP Trucking Co., Phillipsburg, N.J. for several years.
Prior to that, he drove truck for the former Hartman Trucking, Kuhns-ville.
His hobbies included photography, reading, spending time with his dad and making trips to Glen Onoko Falls, Jim Thorpe.
Upper Macungie police are investigating a burglary reported July 23 at East Penn Self Storage, 8235 Schantz Road.
Police say the burglary involved three storage units having the locks cut off and the contents stolen.
The East Penn Storage facility in Fleetwood, Berks County, also reported a recent burglary, police say.
According to police, it is unknown if the two incidents are related.

Michelle L. (Jacoby) Snyder, 44, of Daniels-ville, formerly of New Tripoli, died July 29, 2013, at home.
She was a loving daughter of Jim and Barbara (Sterner) Jacoby of Breinigsville.
The former owner of Styles by Michelle Snyder, she was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, both in New Tripoli.
She was a loving mother, and a wonderful and proud grandmother, always putting others first.
Clifford C. Smith, 95, of Slatington, died July 23, 2013, in his home.
He and his wife Elaine S. (Kern) Smith recently celebrated 71 years of marriage.
Born July 17, 1918, in Slatedale, he was a son of the late John and Edith (Hartline) Smith.
He was employed by C.W. Good Road Construction and by the former Trojan Powder Company, South Whitehall Township, for more than 30 years in the explosive and chemical departments until retiring in 1981.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he received an honorable discharge.
George A. Conrad, 71, of South Whitehall Township, died July 28, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital after being stricken.
He and his wife Betty Jane (Cope) Conrad were married 51 years Sunday.
Born in Vera Cruz, he was a son of the late Melvin G. and Fern G. (Roth) Conrad.
He was a metal forger at Bonney Forge for 32 years before retiring in 2007.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Trexlertown.
The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Lehigh County Medical Auxiliary's Scholarship and Education Fund Inc. is offering a $2,500 LeCoMASE Medical Student Scholarship.
Medical students who are residents of Lehigh County are eligible to apply.
Students must be enrolled full time in an accredited U.S. allopathic or osteopathic medical school.
The foundation is also offering its annual $1,000 Myrtle Siegfried MD, and Michael Vigilante MD Scholarship to first-year medical students who are residents of Berks, Lehigh or Northampton counties.
Dr. Richard W. Miller, 77, of Schnecksville, died July 26, 2013 in his home.
He and his wife Ellen J. (Moser) Miller celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary May 3, 2013.
Born March 14, 1936, in Fogelsville, he was the son of the late Willard E. and Ruth E. (Lauchnor) Miller.
A graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1954, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education in 1958 from Kutztown University, a Master's degree in elementary education in 1960, and a Doctor of Education degree in 1972, both from Lehigh University.

The Rotary Club of Allentown, Allentown West and Emmaus recently received a grant from Rotary District 7430 to purchase $9,500 worth of beds for the Sixth Street Shelter, Allentown.
The Sixth Street Shelter is a program of the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley.
As part of the District Simplified Grant, the three Rotary clubs contributed a collective $5,000, which is met with an additional $4,500 from Rotary District 7430 for the total of $9,500.
The beds are expected to be installed later this year.
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Chad Michael Reinsel, 19, of Reading, was stopped for an alleged traffic violation 1:31 a.m. July 24 on Route 222 at Turkey Ridge Road, Upper Macungie Township.
Police allege Reinsel displayed multiple indicators of intoxication due to controlled substances and a strong odor of marijuana was allegedly detected from inside the vehicle.
Reinsel was arrested for driving under the influence, police say.
Police allege a 17-year-old male passenger from Mohnton had 1 ounce of marijuana.
