Lehigh Valley Chapter 1371 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet noon March 28 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church 1933 Hanover Ave., Allentown.
All current and former federal workers are invited to attend.

Desiree Yeager was named to the dean's list for academic excellence for the fall 2012 semester at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown.
She was inducted into the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for the spring 2012 semester.
Yeager, a 2011 graduate of Parkland High School, is majoring in early childhood and special education.
She is the daughter of Michael and Donnamarie Yeager.

Arlene C. Rohr, 97, of Orefield, died March 3, 2013, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Henry T. Rohr.
Born March 18, 1915, in Egypt, Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Carrie (George) Crouthamel.
She was a food service worker in the cafeteria at Schnecksville Elementary School for 18 years before retiring.
Prior to that, she was a sewing machine operator for several textile mills.
She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
Robert Denby McKenney, 91, husband, father, soldier and friend from Stines Corner, died March 8, 2013, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
He was the husband of Georgia K. (Cicero) McKenney of New Tripoli and the late Aileen (Dolan) McKenney.
Born in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late James S. and Zelecia (Denby) McKenney.
He moved to Germantown, at an early age.
Hard times and the Depression led to service in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Ralph L. Handwerk, 94, of Orefield, died March 9, 2013, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Hermi (Wannamaker) Handwerk.
Born in Schnecksville, he was a son of the late Homer and Ellen (Miller) Handwerk.
The largest potato farmer in Lehigh County, he was very involved with the Schnecksville Grange.
Very active in the Carnival Glass Club, he was an avid collector.
He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

Mark David Weber, 54, of Allentown, died March 6, 2013, in Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia.
He and his wife Patricia A. (Heard) Weber celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8, 2012.
Born Sept. 16, 1958, in Allentown, he was the son of Otto F. and Margaret M. (Minarovic) Weber, with whom he resided.
He owned and operated the former Landcare Systems, prior to becoming ill.
Before that, he worked for Hershey Creamery and Jaindl Farms Inc.
Having a love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Elda M. Brobst, 91, of Kempton, died March 9, 2013, in The Lutheran Home at Topton.
She was the widow of Robert E. Brobst.
Born in Albany Township, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Emma (Kistler) Wisser.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Stony Run.
