These animals are available for adoption at the Center for Animal Health and Welfare no-kill shelter, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton.
The shelter works to end pet overpopulation by running clinics so animals can be spayed or neutered before going home.

The Civil War Round Table of Eastern Pennsylvania will be hosting historian and re-enactor Dick Simpson April 2 at Day's Inn, 3400 Airport Road, Allentown.
He will be discussing "Vermont Brigade at Gettysburg."
Dinner will be 6:30 p.m. Program at 7:30 p.m.
Reservations are required for the dinner and must be made by March 28.
There is a fee for both the dinner and program.
It happens every year at my house as the April 15 tax-filing deadline nears. Once my IRS forms are filed, I take the folder with all the supporting receipts, invoices and forms to our home office filing cabinet to store.
Inside this drawer are numerous hanging file folders containing insurance policies, investment documents, automobile titles, loan papers and other documents. Stuffing the new file into what little remaining space there is, I ask myself, "Do I really need all this stuff?" and then, "Should some of this be more securely stored?"

The Emmaus community shares the sadness and grief triggered by the recent tragic house fire.
We support the Emmaus Fire Victims Funeral Fund in memory of the deceased victims. We extend to all the victims' families and friends, and the members of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit church community our sympathy and prayers of care and concern.
Edwin J. Eckroth, 75, of Emmaus, died March 21, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife LaRue I. (Guldner) Eckroth celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary last Sept. 27.
Born Dec. 13, 1937, in North Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late John W.B. Eckroth and Edna M. (Merkle) German.
He was a self-employed memorial engraver and designer for 16 years before retiring in 2006.
Prior to that, he worked at Keystone Memorial, Allentown, for 22 years.
The Allentown Music Club is offering a $1,000 Past President's Assembly scholarship to a high school senior who resides in Lehigh or Northampton counties.
The student must be accepted at an accredited institution and be pursuing music performance. Application deadline is April 10.
