Also, the winners of the annual photo contest will be announced.
Allentown Band, with organist Jane Ellen Knotek, will be presenting a concert 3 p.m. April 28 at Zion UCC "Liberty Bell" Church, 620 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.

St. Joseph the Worker's Knights of Columbus Council No. 10921 recently had its Free Throw Championship for girls and boys ages 10 to 14 at St. Joseph the Worker School.
Bishop John Barres attended the Jan. 4 competition. Later in the day, the second part of the competition took place for those who attend other local schools.
Ten winners, one boy and one girl in each age group, were awarded basketballs and certificates.
The 2013 winners for the boys are: Kristopher Mazur,14, Tommy Munshower, 13, Luke Rompilla, 12, John Angelella, 11, and Mason Maxsim, 10.

Submissions are now being accepted for the eighth annual award-winning Student Poetry Project.
In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, three poems will be selected in each of the Elementary, Middle School and High School categories and published in the April 24 and 25 Focus section in the Lehigh Valley Press newspapers.
The student whose poem is selected as the best poem in each category may have his or her photo published with the selected poem.

Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre (MSMT) holds open auditions for performers ages 16 and up Feb. 17 and 18 for the Gershwin musical, "Crazy for You," June 12 - 30, and Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera, "Jesus Christ Superstar," July 10 -28.
David Jaindl, owner and president of Jaindl Farms, Jaindl Turkey Sales, Jaindl Land Company, and Schantz Orchards, all of Orefield, has been chosen to receive the 2013 Associates Award from the Associates of Cedar Crest College during the Associates Luncheon, noon March 6, Tompkins College Center.
Jaindl served on the Cedar Crest College Board of Trustees 2005 - '10. During his tenure, he participated in the transition from president Dorothy Gulbenkian Blaney to president Carmen Twillie Ambar.
