on dean's list

Steven Elsenbaumer, of Fogelsville, a freshman business major and Lauren Strella, of Allentown, a senior earth and environmental sciences major were named to dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Susquehanna University.

Elsenbaumer, a 2012 graduate of Parkland High School, is the son of Don and Kelli Elsenbaumer.

Strella, a 2009 graduate of Parkland High School, is the daughter of Christopher and Julie Strella.

Student named

to dean's list

Mildred Sam-Otuh, of Allentown, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus, in Teaneck and Hackensack, N.J., was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

MFP Strategies appoints two

MFP Strategies has announced that Aaron Gabrielian and Jessica Edris have joined the firm.

Gabrielian has been hired as a Financial Advisor and is responsible for the management of client relationships and development of new clients. He is on the firm's Investment Committee.

Prior to joining MFP Strategies, he was a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley and maintains Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as a Financial Planning Specialist designation.

Peace and Justice Conference at NCC main for third year

Northampton Community College (NCC) will hold its third annual Peace and Justice Conference March 26 and March 27, Lipkin Theatre, Kopecek Hall, Main Campus, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.

The conference is free and open to the public.

Charles Eisenstein, keynote speaker, will discuss "Money and the Turning of the Age." He is the author of three books: "Sacred Economics," "The Ascent of Humanity" and "The Yoga of Eating."

Home sales up 18.5 percent

Data comparisons of February 2013 to last year at the same time indicate that closed sales were up 18.5 percent to 352, while inventory decreased 18.1 percent to 3,196 units and new listings decreased 11.3 percent to 838, according to the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR), based on a research report on the February housing market using data from its Multiple Listing System.

The monthly indicators show an increase in home sales, average sales price and the affordability index over the same time last year.

She is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and developing new opportunities throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Maiatico Lewis joined BSI Corporate Benefits in August 2012 from Capital BlueCross where she managed major account (500-plus) group clients.
