In 1988, the United States Congress designated the area from Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, to Bristol, Bucks County, as the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.

"The Family" is a generically-titled film that is anything but generic.

The mob comedy-drama stars the iconic Robert De Niro, in one of his best roles in years, and the magnificent Michelle Pfeiffer, also in one of her best performances.

"The Family" is smart entertainment on the order of "Goodfellas" (1990). In fact, there's a nod in the storyline to "Goodfellas," directed by Martin Scorsese, who produced "The Family."

Art Museum's SOTA launches 'Luncheon with the Authors'

The Allentown Art Museum Society of the Arts (SOTA) presents its inaugural "Luncheon with the Authors" Oct. 4 at Lehigh Country Club, Allentown.

Q. My eyes are dry a lot. Is this something common when you get older?

If your eyes seem to have become drier than normal to you, you should visit an eye doctor for a check-up.

Dry eyes are common in those older than 50 because our production of tears diminishes as we age. A lack of tears is more common among women, especially after menopause.

The tears film in your eyes has three basic layers: oil, water and mucus. Problems with any of these can cause dry eyes.
