Dr. C. Theodore “Ted” Blaisdell, of New Tripoli, died April 3, 2020, at home on his beloved hilltop with loved ones nearby.

He will be missed by many.

Born Aug. 16, 1930, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, he was the son of the late Colborn E. and Elsie (Fried) Blaisdell.

A graduate of Allentown High School and Lehigh University, he served in the Field Toxicology Branch of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

After his service, he attended the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, graduating in 1959.

Kevin Joseph Keefe, 65, of Kempton, died April 12, 2020.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, he will be missed dearly.

He was born in Atlantic City, N.J. in 1954 and lived in Bethlehem for much of his life.

He was a graduate of Freedom High School, Bethlehem, and Kutztown University.

He loved many things but what he cherished most was his time with family and friends.

David Alton Koch, 84, of Schnecksville, died April 6, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife, Isabel Joan (Wieand) Koch, were married 62 years.

Born June 13, 1935, in Orefield, he was the son of the late Alton Samuel and Arlene Rose (Hilbert) Koch.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.

He graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and earned his Master’s degree from Temple University.

Carol A. Danner, 87, formerly of Slatington and Macungie, died April 10, 2020, in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall.

She and her husband Robert O. Danner were married 67 years.

Born Nov. 4, 1932, in Orefield, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Miriam C. (Stahley) Laudenslager.

An office clerk at the former Eastern Light Co., Allentown, for several years before becoming a mother, she also co-owned and operated Danner’s Country Crafts for 10 years.

She was a former member of Solomon’s United Church of Christ, Macungie.

Eleanor C. Wright, 91, died April 8, 2020, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

The wife of the late Franklin J. Wright, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kraig and Ellen (Williams) Kraig.

She worked at a young age as domestic help, then in textile manufacturing and, lastly, she assisted with the family business.

She was a former member of St. Paul’s UCC, Trexlertown.

She enjoyed crosswords, game shows, reading and puzzles. Her enjoyment came from observing others or sharing in activities.

Karen F. “Karin” Mason, 55, of Whitehall, died suddenly on March 30, 2020, in her home.

She was the wife of Harold C. Mason for 26 years.

A graduate of Whitehall High School, where she played softball, and Lehigh Carbon Community College, she was an insurance administrator for KidsPeace for more than 25 years.

A die hard Mets, Cowboys and Flyers fan, she enjoyed watching game shows.

She will forever be remembered for her “Karinisms.”

Marilyn J. Stephen, 89, of Coplay, died March 31, 2020, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Stanley F. Stephen.

Born Nov. 14, 1930, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mabel (Fenstermaker) Diehl.

A customer service representative at the former Two Guys Department Store, Whitehall, for 24 years before retiring, she also worked at the former Golden Sun Potato Chip Factory, Slatington.

She was a member of Egypt Community Church, Egypt, Whitehall.

Stanley W. Billig, 82, of Allentown, formerly of New Tripoli, died April 3, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the longtime companion of Leslie A. Balmat.

Born in Lynn Township, he was the son of the late Stanley F.W. and Minnie M. (Burkhardt) Billig.

A lifelong farmer on his family farm in New Tripoli, he retired in 2010.

He was a 1955 graduate of Slatington High School and attended the Lutheran congregation of Jerusalem “Red” Church, Kempton.

Joseph Charles Donchez, Jr., 63 of Allentown died suddenly Saturday, April 4, 2020 in his home. He was the husband of Joanne (Rothrock) Donchez to whom he was married 33 years last April 26. Born in Bethlehem, March 14, 1957, Joseph was the son of Kathryn (Cassidy) Krommes and her husband, Frederick and the late Joseph Charles Donchez, Sr. He was employed as a painter at Mack Trucks, Inc. in Macungie for the last 9 years. Prior to that, he was a furniture finisher at Guardsman Furniture Pro in Quakertown for 15 years.

Dr. John W Reinhart, 85, of Allentown, died April 2, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Rita C. (Barbush) Reinhart for 60 years last December.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Angstadt) Reinhart.

He graduated from Albright College and the Temple University School of Medicine.

After graduating from medical school, he had a family practice in Allentown for more than 30 years.

He and his wife were members of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield.
